West Med - Aeolian Islands
Aeolian Islands are also called Lipari Islands. Aeolian Islands are an archipelago of volcanic origin situated at sea Tyrrhenian and in the North of the Sicilian coast. They understand two active volcanoes, worth knowing, Stromboli and Vulcano. Aeolian Islands are a part of the province of Messina.
These islands are among 7 : Alicudi, Filicudi, Lipari, Panarea, Salina, Stromboli, Vulcano.
Aeolian Islands, in the wild aspect, in the coast of sinister colors coming just at the right time on the sea by offering visions of magnificence and dismay succeed in Aeolian Islands in soft outlines and in the green slopes; ample sterile, sorry zones, extend next to magnificent fertile gardens; color mountains rust alternating with snow-white cones; vast as black as ebony beaches contrast with clear banks; anfractueuses and inaccessible coast succeeding low and welcoming coast; islands in the fearless forms, which take shape majestically on the sky, raise themselves near flat or slightly waved lands.
Next to such contrasts, particular characteristics return all the original and interesting archipelago of Aeolian Islands: stumbling blocks where the nature gave free rein to its whim, creating strange and gigantic human and animal silhouettes; decorated rocks forming decks hurt and crawling arcs; dykes dashing as agile arrows and obelisks; caves blue as that of Naples; picturesque creeks in the peaceful hidden recesses.
